Vineyard Operator

We are seeking a Vineyard Operator to join our small team. 

We will consider experienced vineyard operators, or skilled horticultural workers, or people entering the workforce with a viticultural or horticultural qualification.

The role includes tractor operations, forklift operations and physical vineyard work

There is potential for personal development, and we will provide training and developing someone with the right attitude and enthusiasm. The opportunity exists for to progress to a Vineyard Manager’s role.

The role reports to the owner/manager.

The ideal applicant will have the following abilities:

• Good communication skills.

• Good attitude to health and safety.

• Ability to work on their own or as part of a small team.

• Sound mechanical knowledge.

• Fencing skills.

• Adaptable.

• Able to supervise contract as required to meet required outcomes.

• Good self-discipline and time management skills.

• Sound knowledge of vines, pests and diseases and pruning techniques (training can be provided).

• Full driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.

• Growsafe certificate (training can be provided).

• Forklift experience (training can be provided).

• Good level of physical fitness.

• Flexibility to work extra hours as required, during peak periods.

• An interest in wine and a desire to contribute strongly as part of a high-performance team.
