About this Role

Be part of an iconic Central Otago destination. We are world famous for our relaxed atmosphere, exceptional service and delicious modern New Zealand cuisine all set to a breathtaking Central Otago view.

We are looking for a multi-talented, experienced Chef de Partie to join our team. 

We require someone who can confidently produce high quality à la carte meals with the ability to work across different sections. This role also requires preparation of ingredients, good organisation across cooking stations, menu collaboration with the team and following the guidance of the Head Chef. 

This is a full-time role in the restaurant kitchen with varying hours including weekend work. Our restaurant is open 5 days for lunch, leaving your evenings to spend time with your friends and family.

There is plenty of opportunity to hone your hospitality skills within the broader Foley Wines Group with The Runholder restaurant and cellar door in Martinborough, as well as strong relationships with sister company Foley Hospitality, and the luxury lodge Wharekauhau Country Estate. We offer a great work environment with a supportive team.

About You

We are looking for someone collaborative with a can-do attitude and the ability to work well in a high-pressure environment.

You will have…

• Proven experience in a Chef de Partie role 

• Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes

• Great communication skills

• A great team player with the flexibility to adapt to multiple and changing tasks

• Good time management and the ability to multitask

• An appetite to learn and an enthusiasm for wine and food

This role requires applicants to have the right to work in New Zealand without needing sponsorship and to have a current driver’s licence with their own means of transportation.
