2014 Regional Vintage Report KUMEU

November 2013 gave us beautiful weather that meant the flowering was perfect, and the fruit set very good indeed....

"We had a very good spring last year, especially from the point of view of no frost"

The crop was higher than first expected, but this did not affect quality in any way.

Dry and warm conditions right through the growing season brought the harvest forward by about 7-10 days, and the ripening was exceptional and very even. There was no rot to speak of, and the fruit quality superb which has resulted in wines of great character and definition.
