The Role:
Are you looking for a part-time, seasonal job that blends wine, hospitality, and fun? We’re on the hunt for a Cellar Door Host to help us create magic for every guest. You’ll be pouring wine, sharing stories, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Monte Christo Winery is where Central Otago wine began. We proudly carry on that legacy today, crafting elegant wines and offering an unforgettable guest experience. We’re on the hunt for a part-time Cellar Door Host to help us create magic for every guest.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Greet guests with a smile and guide them through tastings of our wines, wine tours or private tasting experiences

• Sharing the Monte Christo story, encouraging wine sales and promoting our wine club

• Supporting the front of house team to pour wine and beer, clearing, and cleaning glassware

• Assist with bookings, and keeping the guest areas looking tidy

• Assist with coordination of onsite events as needed

• Jump in where needed – we’re looking for a team player extraordinaire, happy to help out across our organisation

What We’re Looking For:

• A people person with a knack for making guests feel at home

• A Duty Manager's licence would be highly beneficial

• Previous hospitality, retail, or customer service experience 

• A love of wine and a willingness to learn; cellar door experience a bonus

• Available to work weekends, holidays and some evenings this summer

• A positive, can-do attitude and a team player mindset
