The School of Business and Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Wine Business beginning in the 2020-2021 academic year. This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to advance their academic career in the field of wine business by providing teaching, research, and service opportunities for the purpose of developing tomorrow’s wine business professionals, managers and executives.
To be recommended for appointment in August 2020, the successful candidate must hold an earned Ph.D., earned doctorate, or other equivalent terminal academic credential in a business - or economics-related discipline, with a primary teaching or research emphasis in Wine Business.
For appointment at the Assistant Professor rank, the successful candidate must provide evidence of effective teaching in Wine Business as well as a portfolio of published research in Wine Business or a closely related field, along with a plan for such research going forward.
For appointment at the Associate Professor rank, the successful candidate must demonstrate an extensive record of effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Wine Business as well as evidence of a history of peer-reviewed published research in Wine Business or a closely related field.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate significant graduate level coursework and success in teaching in Marketing and/or Finance in addition to their experience and emphasis in Wine Business.
Professional Wine Business experience or in a field related to Wine Business is preferred. A record of service to a college or university, local communities, and professional and academic organizations is preferred. Preference may be given to candidates with terminal degrees earned from AACSB and/or EQUIS accredited programs.
For appointment at the Associate Professor rank, it is preferred that the successful candidate have significant experience serving in faculty or professional leadership positions and/or building successful relationships with stakeholders in other disciplines or in the community.
Salary, service credit, and rank all depend upon academic preparation and professional experience. The starting salary for an Assistant Professor is $114,193 per year. The starting salary for an Associate Professor is $117,660 per year.
