Set against the backdrop of the majestic Pisa mountain range, Amisfield is one of the largest single estate vineyards in Central Otago. On the journey to organic certification, our philosophy is to nurture nature at every step and yield wines with exceptional purity, intensity and vibrancy.

We are now recruiting for our 2020 vintage crew.

Working in the winery, located approximately 10 mins drive from Cromwell, you will assist with the day-to-day winery cellar operations during our harvest period, to help ensure that winemaking runs smoothly and efficiently.

In order to do this, you will have experience of at least 2 or 3 previous vintages within reputable wineries, preferably working with Pinot Noir and aromatic whites. You will also be fit and healthy and have a great positive attitude.

Duration of the position is 9-10 weeks starting from late-Feb/early-March 2020 and you must be available for the full period. Peak Harvest hours are one shift, 6 days per week.

In return you will be offered the opportunity to work with a fantastic team of professionals and gain exposure to a number of aspects of the winemaking process.

It is therefore important that you understand that depending on your employment arrangements with the employer there may be a period of time where you have no work or less work than you were expecting, and should have sufficient financial arrangements in place should this occur. Your actual start and finish dates may vary - if you have queries around this, check with your winery employer before booking airline tickets etc.
