GisVin is a custom crush facility, processing an assortment of local and national varietals to client specification.

We are seeking an extraordinary individual to assist in the running of the winery during the late-shift of Harvest 2020.

Vintage Late Shift Laboratory Supervisor

The ideal candidates will have:

  • Winemaking or Chemistry Qualification at degree/post-grad level
  • At least two harvests under their belt in a medium-size winery as a Lab Assistant or Assistant Winemaker
  • Detailed knowledge of winery processes
  • Detailed knowledge of wet chemistry analyses including spectrophotmeter, sulphur by aspiration, alcohol by distillation (lab)
  • Excellent and proven communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask and adapt to situations under pressure, is a must
  • Knowledge of winery operating systems and Excel (Vintrace would be advantageous)
  • Excellent time management skills, and the ability to be proactive and work unsupervised

The position will be responsible for the smooth running of the winery during the late shift in the absence of the day management team.
