Mission Estate is a premium Hawke’s Bay winemaker producing wines for domestic and export markets. As a result of planned growth, an opportunity has arisen to join our team in a new role of Logistics and Quality Manager.

This role is based in our winery at beautiful Mission Estate in Hawke’s Bay, which produces both Mission and Ngatarawa brands. This position will lead production planning, warehouse operations, export logistics and quality systems for our winery.

Applicants will need experience leading a team as well as managing budgets and managing multiple functions of the business. Demonstrated commitment to performance, quality and safety are essential.

Strong quality systems focus is required and quality management experience is desirable. This position will champion quality and environmental management processes and audits and ensure rigorous quality control.

Experience in exporting, logistics, warehouse management, stock control and/or production planning is required and knowledge of the wine industry would be an advantage. A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.

This position involves data analysis and regular management reporting so analytical skills, IT capability and attention to detail are essential. You will also need excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You must be able to inspire team members with a strong customer service focus and have the ability to build positive relationships across the business and externally.

Excellent organisational skills and project management capability are essential. You need a positive can-do attitude and the ability to handle pressure and uncertainty in a busy and changeable environment. As leader of a small team, you need to be willing to be hands-on when required.
