The position of Nursery Manager & Viticulturist is a pivotal leadership role in the effective management of the Yalumba Nursery.
Based at the Yalumba Nursery in Nuriootpa and reporting to the Chief Viticulturist at the Yalumba Winery in Angaston, this opportunity requires an experienced, operationally-focused people manager with significant capability across nursery and plant propagation from the Viticulture and/or Horticulture Industry.
Candidates must be highly-organised and self-motivated with the ability to lead in an innovative environment that values its customer base in service and delivery throughout Australia. Significant effective people management and workforce planning skills in a seasonally-driven employment environment are critical.
A genuine passion for the Viticulture/Horticulture industry is essential, as is the ability to represent the Yalumba Nursery in a highly-professional, engaging and knowledgeable manner, utilising your existing networks to seek out growth and education opportunities for the business.
All applicants must demonstrate strong technical and hands-on expertise in plant propagation, with a knowledge of wine grape varieties and clones, backed with tertiary qualifications in either horticulture or viticulture.
