Sole charge and responsible for all vineyard operations. As a qualified and experienced operator and viticulturist ideally, you will be able to demonstate a high-level of pride in your work and attention to detail and process.
The new season is about to begin, so now is the perfect time to start with a clean slate. Prunning and supervision of contract staff now, and with all jobs throughout the following season, you will be in machines, walking, planning and maintainning a tidy property and all the while reporting directly to the owner.
You will need a good mechanical mind as you have all the machinery required onsite and owned by the vineyard.
Not only do you get a company vehicle, you also get 2 tractors with a myriad of attachments and a polaris ranger to get around.
Spray Handlers Certificate is required, some experience with SWNZ accreditation and being able to follow and influence spray and fertilizer programs, is useful.
The vineyard has 30ha planted in Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, its relatively flat and easy to manage, but gets cold at times so you will have to frost-fight, but will have help when other duties and supervision is required.
In addition to the company vehicle and mobile phone, remuneration of between $55,000 and $65,000 pa depending on expereince.
