Wine and Liquor Trade Diary

This trade diary is provided for information for the New Zealand wine and liquor industries and is not intended to be a general calendar of all events that may occur. Whilst some events will have a consumer focus, it is more of a helpful guide for those in the trade to use as a planning tool to avoid conflicting dates. Not every event will necessarily be listed here.

New Zealand in a Glass: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane

Starts: 22/02/2010
Ends: 28/02/2010
Type: Event
Venue: TBC
City: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane
Country: Australia
Details: Melbourne - 22 February 2010 Sydney - 25 February 2010 Brisbane - 28 February 2010

The biggest New Zealand Wine events in the world’s largest market (now by value and volume) for New Zealand wine make this event an extremely compelling offer. In 2009, attendance records were broken across the board as around 3000 trade, media and consumers attended one of the many tastings, dinners or retail events. All three consumer events sold out at least one week before the event, with Sydney selling out in just two days for the second year running!

In 2010 we aim to have both a major media and retail partner onboard to facilitate the sale of wine at events and secure high attendance and consumer awareness of New Zealand wine during the week long ‘Kiwi invasion’ of the Australian East coast. Please note, due to the continued increase in participation at these events, we may need to limit places for the first time in 2010 due to venue size limits.

Wineries will receive email notification if places become limited. An opportunity for wineries to fill the last remaining places on a first come, first serve basis will then follow.
