| Details: | Attend the New Zealand Syrah Symposium 2010 in Hawke’s Bay, a one day event specially put together by local winemakers. For all those who attend, this is a unique opportunity to taste some of New Zealand’s finest Syrah alongside top international examples. The inaugural New Zealand Syrah Symposium was held in 2007 and was at full capacity with over 120 trade, media and wine industry delegates attending from Canada, the UK, the USA, Australia, Netherlands, Singapore, Japan and New Zealand. Remington Norman MW, Tim Atkin and Anthony Rose, all prominent and internationally famous wine industry media and author from the United Kingdom said that the 2007 event was well extremely well run, the content was excellent and it was well worth attending. “For the record, I leave very impressed with the quality of wines the wineries here are producing. Syrah from Hawkes Bay is going to be a force to be reckoned with” said Michael Havens of Havens Wine Cellars in the Napa Valley, California. “From a Hawkes Bay point of view, I believe in totality that the event was a great success, with the symposium being complimented on being exceptionally well run with interesting and useful presentations. The Hawkes Bay wines were seen to show up very well. It was a massive success” said John Hancock of Trinity Hill. Hawke’s Bay producers are looking forward to the next NZ Syrah Symposium in 2010 and are developing another outstanding programme now. |
