Details:	The first NZ Wine Fair Beijing took place in April 2011 and was a resounding success with 300+ good quality trade attendees and positive feedback from both visiting trade and winery participants. We also received very good feedback from a dinner held at the NZ Ambassador’s residence and a tasting for over 200 Chinese University students. Beijing is considered a first-tier city for wine consumption in China and, due to high per-capita incomes and an educated middleclass population is set to grow in importance in the coming years. The wine fair here in 2012 will incorporate more trade education plus a series of consumer events designed to increase awareness and knowledge about New Zealand wine from the sales, distribution and consumption sides.
