2014 Regional Vintage Report KUMEU

November 2013 gave us beautiful weather that meant the flowering was perfect, and the fruit set very good indeed....

"We had a very good spring last year, especially from the point of view of no frost"
The crop was higher than first expected, but this did not affect quality in any way.
Dry and warm conditions right through the growing season brought the harvest forward by about 7-10 days, and the ripening was exceptional and very even. There was no rot to speak of, and the fruit quality superb which has resulted in wines of great character and definition.

I just wanted to let you know that we have filled the cellarhand position that we advertised online with you. The applicant is locally from Hastings and applied for the job via the ad so it was a success! I have to say though that the number of overseas applicants is amazing so your website is certainly reaching a lot of countries!
